Cylinders 3 and 4 not combusting3/6/2024 We ran a compression test on all cylinders and all is fine, but we found out that if you remove leads 3 or 4 or even both, the engine still ran with no change to the idle. I thought I would go get it tested on a CO machine, and so I did, and it was running a bit rich (about 4-4.5 co)īut it wasn't fouling plugs or backfiring.Īt the garage we tried to get it running a bit better, and ones of the carbs jet heights was way off (Rich) but when we balanced it, it would run very very lumpy, and the idle was even worse. I was really happy with its running except for when It idled. So I had it Idle at about 1400-1500ĭrove it a bit, and it went like stink (Well compared to last time I drove it) I couldn't get a low idle without it just conking out, and if I try to weaken the mixture, it won't start. Ok, so here goes, I've refirbed my Carbs and replaced my exhaust on my car, and I used an airflow sync to set up the airflow and I adjusted the mix so it would idle properly.
